The journal publishes original articles on research in the field of biochemistry and microbiology that have or may have practical application, in particular studies of the mechanisms of enzymatic reactions; biosynthetic pathways; structure and functions; production of low- and high-molecular biologically active compounds (vitamins, coenzymes, nucleotides, amino acids, polysaccharides, lipids, etc.); study of the mechanisms of phytoimmunity; biological methods of environmental protection; new approaches and new research methods. Thematic review articles, reviews of new books and analysis of materials from scientific conferences are published.
